Find your hat size

If you are ordering a bespoke hat or made-to-measure hat, we’ll need to know your head size. Follow the steps below to get an accurate head measurement to help us size your hat.

Measuring your head

What you'll need

To measure your head you’ll need a soft or flexible tape measure. If you do not have a flexible tape measure, you can use a piece of string and then measure the length on a ruler or retractable tape measure.

How to measure

  1. Place the tape measure around your head, just above the ears and across the top of your eyebrows, where a hat brim would usually sit.

  2. Make sure the back of the tape measure isn’t too low around the back of your head, aim for about midway, as per the diagram below.

  3. Without pulling the tape measure too tight, measure the circumference of your head in cm and note down the measurement.

We recommend measuring twice to make sure you’re confident you have an accurate measurement.

Do you have a question?

Can I measure an existing hat instead?

We don’t recommend measuring an existing hat, as the measurements can vary depending on the type of hat or inner band fabric.

How do I let you know my head measurement?

When ordering a made-to-measure hat, please let us know your head measurement in the order notes.

Can I come in store for a measurement?

Yes. You’re very welcome to visit us in store and we can help take a measurement for your hat.
